Lets Sign Matt Burke!!

The Warriors are in the hunt for a wing/full back and who better than this Aussie Legend? Capped 68 times by the Wallabies I think he would be ideal.

"Australia great Matt Burke has been released by Super 12 club NSW Waratahs.

The 31-year-old former captain was told by coach Ewen McKenzie that he would not be retained for next season.

"I've got to look a bit longer term, so on that basis we've made a call. It'll probably be the hardest decision I make this year," said McKenzie.

Burke, with more than 100 appearances for the Waratahs, may use upcoming matches for the Barbarians to try for a move to Europe.

The Australian Rugby Union may give him an early release from his contract in recognition of his long service which includes 68 Tests and 851 points."

1. He is available, unlike Caleb Ralph his signing is not dependent on making a national squad

2. He is not in contention for the international side so will be available all year round.

3. He is versitile, we are losing Alfie who could fill in anywhere so a player who is class in so may positions is invaluable.

4. He is high profile, a world cup winner, people WILL pay to watch him.

5. He is class you don't gain 68 caps and score 851 points for Australia if you are not.

6. He can kick, may let Sweeney or Arwel focus on other areas of there game.

7. Kev gets injured all the time
