Warriors Stars Defiance

The 6 Warriors stars who played against the Baa Baas on Wednesday showed two Fingers To The WRU in a great act of public defiance.

The 6 Warriors Stars Sonny Parker, Ceri Sweeney, Gareth Thomas, Brent Cockbain, Mefin Davies and Gethin Jenkins took part in the public protest.

Each wore a black armband and blacked out the WRU badge on there shirts to signify there disgust at the "cattle market" since the WRU's decsion to shut down the Warriors.

The Warriors' internationals met WRU Chairman David Moffett twice during the week and he was given a rough ride each time.

The tough-talking Aussie was snubbed by the Warriors' stars in the Wales dressing room after the victory over the Barbarians.

On Thursday afternoon he called a clear-the-air meeting of the Warriors' international players at the team's Vale of Glamorgan Hotel.

Once again he was told in no uncertain terms that the players felt they had been "sold out" by Welsh rugby - the WRU, the four regions and Leighton Samuel.

Parker and Gethin Jenkins are expected to sign for high profile English sides this week. Along with several other stars.

The players defiance in the face of propective employers show the pride and passion they feel for the Warriors and we must back them up and continue the protest.

On Jinks testimonial we should wear our Wales shirts and black out the badge and wear a black armband and shout "Ole Ole Ole Ole Warriors WARRIORS".
