As the Pontypridd squad make their preperations in training for the crucial Konica Minolta Welsh Cup semi final tie against Aberavon next Saturday, the club and its supporters are also gearing up for the big day out off the field.

An allocation of 500 tickets has now been received by Pontypridd RFC for the semi final tie, to be held at the Brewery Field, Bridgend on Saturday 16^th April, kicking off at 3.00pm. Tickets are priced at £10.00, allowing entry to any of the enclosure areas at the Brewery Field, £5.00 for under 16s and £1.00 for under 8s. There are no concessions for senior citizens or students.

The tickets will be on sale at the Ponty clubhouse on Wednesday and Thursday mornings - office hours 9.00am to 11.00am - and on Thursday evening from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. Ponty fans travelling on the Supporters Club buses from the club on Saturday morning will have the opportunity to purchase their tickets on the day before departure.

The response amongst Pontypridd supporters eager to travel to the semi final tie has been phenomenal. The Supporters Club are already up to four coaches - with bookings still being taken by calling Phil on 01443 662561 - with other buses organised from traditional sources such as the Ponty Committee and the Pontypridd & District Club on Graigwen, along with the usual fleet of cars carrying supporters to Bridgend.

A press conference will be held at the Brewery Field on Thursday afternoon at 2.00pm, with representatives of Pontypridd RFC in attendance, as part of the build up to the big game on Saturday.

The message to all Pontypridd supporters, past, present and future, is a simple one this coming weekend… Get behind your team, get a huge and vocal backing on to the terraces of the Brewery Field to show that Valleys Rugby is alive and kicking, and to urge the young Ponty team on to victory.
