The fact that he is now a household name has been hammered home to Wayne Rooney after the family car was vandalised outside of their Croxteth home.

The Rooney family’s blue Ford Galaxy was targeted by vandals, who punctured the car’s tyres with nails. Wayne’s dad, Wayne senior, has had to fork out £140 on replacement tyres for the car in which he takes his son to training. It is another sign of the growing pressures being put on Rooney, and he’ll have to put it all behind him come Saturday. It’s rumoured that the Blues are looking into buying the family a house elsewhere in Liverpool, but Wayne wants to stay close to his pals in Croxteth....hopefully the house will have a garage.

In another case of the Blues being victimised by crime, some Kopite has stolen the plaque put up at The Sandon pub as part of the 100 years celebrations.
