Charity the real winner

Brian McBride won't be asking for a refund from the Ohio Diabetes Association after the dubious goals panel confirmed the American as the goal scorer against Sunderland.
McBride gives $100 to the Ohio Diabetes Association for every goal he scores, but some had suggested that the goal may have been given as a Darren Williams own goal. The panel obviously couldn't face breaking those poor little children's hearts so decided to give the goal to McBride.
A spokesman for the panel told evertonfc.tv,
“Everton’s first goal against Sunderland on 18th January has been confirmed as a Brian McBride goal”.
He's obviously a man of many words, and well suited to the position of spokesman.
