Honda Racing F1's team boss, Nick Fry, has lauded Jenson Button's win in Hungary, suggesting that it could be a stepping stone to a full world championship title.

"I've no doubts that Jenson Button has the ability to become world champion and that Honda as a team can give him the car to do so," explained Fry. "The first win took a while but now we can go forward.

"Jenson has been a fantastic team leader but I have been pushing him to be a bit more dominant and domineering," added Honda Racing F1's Chief Executive Officer, "but he is always wanting to work with people as opposed to ranting and raving. When things have gone wrong he has always said it was us that got it wrong, not one person in particular."

There's little doubt that things have gone wrong, with race bans last year and a shocking dropping off of pace this year, but the team are turning things around, with the race win in Hungary just one of many steps to the ultimate target.

"Credit to him," added Nick, "he has been a great team player and he has led this team to their first victory and hopefully more will come."
