Klien and Rossiter on hand for Honda

The Honda Racing F1 Team began its second test of the winter at the Circuito de Jerez in southern Spain today, as preparations for 2007 continue.

Christian Klien and James Rossiter were on driving duty in chassis RA106-06 and RA106-02 respectively. The team is focusing on further evaluation of the Bridgestone tyres as the main test item this week.

Overnight rain meant that the Jerez circuit was damp and cold for the first part of the morning with both drivers therefore going out on Bridgestone wet weather tyres for the first time.

Emerging sunny conditions ensured that the track was dry by lunchtime, allowing the planned test programme to begin. Christian continued his acclimatisation to the car as he spent the afternoon session working to find a consistent balance, completing 90 laps (best time 1:20.380, 4th fastest). James also focused on car set-up, running for a total of 104 laps today (best time 1:20.706, 8th fastest).
