Honda are set to revamp the Suzuka circuit despite losing the rights to host the Japanese Grand prix to rivals Toyota and their Fuji Speedway circuit.

The pits and paddocks on the race course will be overhauled, says Honda. As one of the top-class racing circuits in the world, Suzuka Circuit will continue to host various international races and foster young racers, and will continue to negotiate to see a return of Formula One racing to the circuit.

The circuit layout is to remain the same, although various safety aspects will be improved. The company also intends to refurbish the Traffic Education Centre, which will re-open in the summer.
