Honda Racing F1 results 'unthinkable'

The Honda Racing F1 Team's performance in 2007 was 'unthinkable', and will not be tolerated again, so says Takeo Fukui, who became the sixth president of Honda Motor Co Ltd in June 2003, following a previous stint at the top of Honda's Formula One efforts.

"I want to already forget about this year," Fukui told reporters at the Honda R&D facility at before the Tokyo motor show. "We are aware of some issues with Honda-operated teams, and next year, we will not allow to happen what happened this year."

In 2007 the Brackley based Honda Racing F1 team scored just six points, all taken by Jenson Button while teammate Rubens Barrichello was left with nothing. Customer outfit Super Aguri, running a development of the 2006 car, scored four points. A year earlier Jenson Button took a maiden win for the team, with the two drivers racking up a total of 86 points.
