The past year has been one hell of a roller coaster ride, with the team facing closure, a rescue package being sorted, races being won, championships being taken, the team sold on, the drivers leaving and a seven times world champion joining the team.
It's been a joyride for this site too, with a number of big stories being broken - not least the news of the management buyout at Honda Racing F1 by Ross Brawn and his team - along with the problems of potentially illegal cars, multiple race wins, the final proof that Jenson Button really does have 'it', the happiness in seeing Rubens Barrichello continue his F1 career, albeit with Williams, and the sheer delight of winning both championships despite the challenges from Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari.
During that time we've increased our readership, nearly doubling the figures from 2008, and reaching our 10 millionth reader in March. We've also spread out on to Twitter, which is proving a huge hit, as well as working on outside events to promote the site and the network.
And, after all that, we think we deserve a break. We sincerely wish all our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and thank each and every one of you for sticking with us. We'll be back early in 2010 with a new name, a new look, but the same winning team.
We can't wait.
