British American Racing has offered the young German F3 contender, and Honda Racing School graduate, Kosuke Matsuura a test with the team at Jerez in December.

Matsuura finished second in the 2002 German F3 championship, following a less successful year in 2001. Winner of a Honda funded scholarship into F3, gained by winning the Japanese Formula Dream championship, Matsuura is backed by former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki.

"Kosuke is an extremely confident young talent and we congratulate him on his achievements this year," BAR team boss David Richards said. "We are delighted to offer him this opportunity to experience Formula One technology and we look forward to seeing him in a BAR004 next month. Kosuke's test also sees greater co-operation between BAR and Honda's respective driver development programmes, which is a key element of our long-term partnership."

Matsuura is scheduled to drive at Jerez on 15 December.
