Button Barred From T-Car

Jacques Villeneuve is making life difficult for British American Racing newcomer Jenson Button, by banning him from using the spare car during 2003.

Villeneuve will have exclusive use of the spare car, meaning Button will be severely hampered should he suffer any problems in practice or qualifying. With the new qualifying rules introduced for the new season, this could present BAR with some difficult decisions.

BAR boss David Richards commented "It's part of an existing agreement. Jacques has always demanded exclusive use of the spare car. Jenson is aware of it and it's only for one year."
