Michelin confirm BAR to use their tyres

While it's no news to BAR-Talk readers, who were the first to see the new BAR hybrid car running on Michelin tyres, the French tyre company have today made this press release...

"Following the announcement made at the Japanese Grand Prix on October 11, 2003, Michelin is pleased to confirm that the Lucky Strike BAR Honda Team will use its tyres from the start of the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championship.

The two companies will start working together immediately and will undertake their first test in Barcelona starting today (November 25).

The addition of the BAR Team to the Michelin ranks brings the number of teams running on the manufacturer's tyres to six: BMW WilliamsF1 Team, West McLaren Mercedes, Mild Seven Renault F1, Jaguar Racing, Panasonic Toyota Racing and Lucky Strike BAR Honda."
