Remainder of Barcelona Test Cancelled

The remainder of the scheduled testing in Barcelona this week has been cancelled due to poor track conditions. The newly resurfaced track has an excessive amount of oil seeping to the surface of the tarmac rendering it nearly undriveable.
BAR Honda's Anthony Davidson explained the problem. "It is just so slippery," he said. "Lap times are almost 20 seconds slower than they should be and we are actually quicker on intermediates in the dry than on grooved tyres."
The conditions have made meaningful testing impossible so the team will be searching for an alternate venue. Rivals Ferrari, Williams and Toyota are already heading to Valencia to join Sauber. The other option is to move to the Jerez circuit. Stay tuned for information from the BAR Honda team once a decision has been made.
