BAR Honda return to testing at Jerez

Despite shortly having to face up to the FIA, life at Lucky Strike BAR Honda continues as normal as the team go testing at the Jerez circuit.

With temperatures in southern Spain running as high as 36˚C, and track temperatures going even higher, BAR Honda third driver Anthony Davidson and test driver Enrique Bernoldi had a tough time, but still racked up 174 laps between them on Wednesday.

Davidson completed aerodynamic work, while Bernoldi worked through several brake and suspension permutations.

GP2 racer Adam Carroll, a member of the BAR Young Driver programme, had his first run in the 2005 spec BAR 007, spending time acclimatising to the machinery and temperatures. He completed 27 laps.

For Thursday, the conditions remained broadly similar. Jenson Button and Takuma Sato joined the test, with the pair completing another 235 laps.

Jenson spent the morning running through an aerodynamic evaluation, while Takuma ran through a series of suspension evaluations, alongside a brake test, before being stopped by Heikki Kovaleinan's Renault engine grenading on track, leaving large quantities of oil on the surface.

Once that was cleared up, both drivers spent the afternoon running through a Michelin tyre evaluation in preparation for the French Grand Prix.
