The TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board is a lively arena for debate, but remains a friendly and abuse free venue for all Mercedes GP fans and their rivals. However, in order to keep that way, a number of rules have been introduced. We advise that you read through and adhere to these rules in order to remain a welcome and integral part of our community.
User registration is not currently required to use the TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board, but please be aware that this situation could change without notice.
- Please make sure all posts are in the English language only. We only have English speaking moderators, so can't moderate other languages. However, bearing that in mind, please remember to be tolerant of others' mistakes - English isn't everybody's first language.
- Do not make any derogatory comments based on age, gender, race, ethnicity or nationality. Users that do may be banned immediately.
- The TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board is for discussion of Mercedes GP, Formula 1, and associated topics. It is not a venue for debating other issues, be they about politics, education, nationalities, and so on. We respectfully suggest you search for alternative portals with your favoured search engine.
- Where possible, please refrain from posting images linked from other sites without their permission (simply giving a URL is much more polite). Equally, copying and pasting content from other sites is not acceptable. At worst these are infringements of copyright and will cause us serious legal problems.
- Any images that are posted should be under 720 pixels wide.
- Be polite. That means no swearing! For one person it is just "cussing" but for another it may be deeply offensive. TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board users come from many varied cultures.
- For the most part we are talking opinions, and we are all entitled to those, regardless of whether you agree with them or not. Treat other people as you would like them to treat you. Respect costs nothing.
- Do not post spam. Spam includes advertisements, content deemed inappropriate or illegal, and flooding of the boards. If you feel the need to promote something on the TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board, then make sure you request permission first.
- Please refrain from promoting other sites - you might think they're better than TotalMercedesGP.com, but we don't. A single link in a signature file is acceptable.
- Ensure that your signature remains a reasonable size. The maximum image width is 720 pixels, and should remain under 125 pixels high - oversized images may be removed. That said, we would prefer users to make use of the 'avatar' feature available to all. Check your Message Board Control Panel for more information.
Other rules may be introduced without notice. They will be posted on this page, and announced on the TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board.
The TotalMercedesGP.com Message Board is not there for the discussion of these rules, nor for any discussion on moderating decisions, such as deletion or editing of threads. If you have any issues, you must address them via email to abuse@TotalMercedesGP.com.
