Rubens Barrichello joined the team in Jerez this morning for the second day of Honda Racing F1 Team's three-day test. Taking over chassis 078-07 from Anthony Davidson, the Brazilian's early runs were limited due to the cold ambient and track temperatures.

Once the track had warmed up, he ran through set-up work completing 32 laps in the morning session.

Barrichello spent the afternoon completing a tyre evaluation as he continues to acclimatise himself with the latest specifications from Michelin. He completed 62 laps in total and set the second fastest time – a 1:19.285.

In chassis 078-08, Jenson Button completed two early set-up runs whilst waiting for the temperatures to rise. He then ran through a further set-up programme before beginning a tyre evaluation, completing 31 laps in the morning session.

Button continued his tyre evaluation in the afternoon session putting in longer runs. He completed a further 62 laps, bringing his total for the day to 93 laps, and set the fastest time of the day – a 1:18.799.
