Blues Confirm Pre-Season Plans

The Cardiff Blues will kcik off their season with 2 home friendly matches in August.
The two games are confirmed as:
Cardiff Blues v Worcester Warriors - Saturday 19th August at 3.00pm
Cardiff Blues v Bristol - Friday 25th August at 7.15pm
Both games will take place at the Arms Park, and are FREE to fans who renew or purchase their season ticket before August 19th. Dai Young said,
“We have played friendlies away against both Bristol and Worcester in the last two seasons and lost narrowly on both occasions. Our links with both teams go back many years and these games will be ideal preparation for the start of the new season as they are both among the best coached and supported sides in the English Premiership.”
Cardiff have a tendency to start the season very slowly, as what happened this year, and many fans would've expected a 3rd friendly to make sure the players are completely ready before the start of the season.
Both visiting sides will bring old friends with them, with Worcester Ryan Powell's new home, and Bristol being Craig Morgan's new club. However, it should give Dai a chance to prove he was right in letting them go.
Robert Norster said,
"We received fantastic support last season, including the record breaking attendance at the Millennium Stadium for our game against Leinster. Following our strong finish to the Celtic League campaign we intend to build upon our successes in 2006/7 and hope to continue to attract a great following. In recognition of this support we are offering all season ticket holders free entry to both games at the Arms Park.”
Season ticket information should be released in the next few days, with genral sale starting June 19th. Prices are expected to stay the same, building on the encouraging turn outs for last seasons games.
As for the contraversial new 'all blue' shirts, a grand release night is expected to take place mid July, with new kit, clothes and other merchandise available online and in store.
