Blues Chase Brumbies Lock

Cardiff Blues are supposedly chasing 30-year old Brumbies lock, Radike Samo as their final aqquisition.

Samo, born in Fiji, defected to play for Austrailia in 2004 making his debut in a winning test against Scotland, and has made 6 apearences for the Wallabies during a 6 year stint with current club, the Brumbies.

In his 35 Super 12/14 appearances, Samo has scored 4 tries, and more importantly been a big target in the lineout. He had a magical 2004 season with the Brumbies, but now out of contract and out of favour, he's looking for a move and the Blues are set to take him on.

His agility and speed are considered his greatest attributes, though vertistility is another, having played a handful of games on the wing! He is most famous for his one-handed ball carrying and strong running.

With Craig Quinnell retiring, Cardiff has very few options should Deiniol Jones or the off-form Rob Sidoli be injured or called up. Wales U19's captain Bradley Davies has been given a Blues Development contract, but with no regional experience, it's obvious we need more.

They are also set to add a 3rd choice scrum half, Darren Allinson from the Scarlets U19 squad. Touted by many fans as the next Dwain Peel, the fans don't want to see him go,though it's rumoured that he has agreed terms with the capital.
