Leigh Centurions v. Salford City Reds preview

Leigh take on local rivals Salford in the Arriva Cup at Hilton Park this afternoon in a match which will provide a marker for the progress that Leigh have made over the pre season period.

Centurions coach Paul Terzis has the luxury of a virtually full strength squad to choose from with only long term injury victim full back Neil Turley out of the equation for first team action.

No doubt, the defeat away against Featherstone in the Challenge Cup last week will be fresh in the minds of the players and they will be determined to make up for the appalling performance with a victory over the City Reds. The visitors are sure to provide a stern test for the hosts following their last-day relegation from Super League last season but they are certainly aren’t invincible, as the Centurions proved two years ago in their famous victory over the then Super League side in front of the BBC cameras.

It is sure to be a great game and a great advert for Rugby League, COME ON LEYTHERS!!
