Leigh supporters had been looking forward to seeing some old favourites lining up for the opposition at Hilton Park tomorrow, but injury has robbed several ex-Leythers of the chance to run at Hilton Park once more.

Former Leigh winger Dave Ingram, Centurions' top try scorer in the modern era, will miss the game along with Welsh international Dave Whittle who misses his return to Hilton Park through injury. Chorley full back Mark McCully, who spent last season at Leigh, also misses the game along with one time Leigh target Liam Jones who has a rib injury. Chorley's new signing David Burns misses the game with a suspected broken thumb while Chris Ramsdale faces a fitness test for the Lynx after recently being involved in a car accident.

For the Centurions, former Warrington Wolves centre Dale Cardoza misses the game through an ankle injury and former Great Britain forward Dave Bradbury misses the game after picking up a thigh injury earlier in the week.

Leigh have enjoyed some one-sided games against their neighbours from Chorley but tomorrow is sure to be a much closer game with the Lynx recruiting heavily as they prepare an assault on the National League Two title.

Leigh will be looking for a victory to cement their place at the top of their group in the Arriva Trains Cup as they aim to start the season with a bang, and possibly silverware.

COME ON LEYTHERS!!
