Panis: Michael did pass under yellows!

On driver who should be in the best position to know is Toyota's Olivier Panis, who Michael passed under the yellow flag. Olivier feels that Michael did  overtake him under yellow flags. The FIA took an opposing view stating that Michael did not pass under yellow flags.

In the Autosport magazine Olivier stated: "If you ask me, he did the wrong thing.
When he did it, I thought 'ok, now he'll back off and I'll go past him again, but nothing happened."

Panis feels that Schumacher should have been penalised for his actions.

Olivier added: "Because otherwise, what is the rule? If there are flags, you don't overtake.'

One should bear in mind how different the outcome of the race would have been if Michael had been penalised.

Schumacher said that he had completed his passing move on Panis before the yellow flags went out.
