Bernie's a man with a plan!

It’s not usually that the sort of person with a free bus pass is disliked. But sadly for Bernie Ecclestone he is hated among many Grand Prix fans, so much so that some would even nick his wheels to show their opinion. But, maybe this time he is on the fans side and using those powers to good use.
Bernie’s a man with a plan!
Before the season started, I like pretty much the whole nation with an interest in Formula One, yelled, screamed, shouted and cried over this seasons Qualifying format. A format, which could only be explained by a mathematician.
Some broadcasting companies didn’t even want to show the more important Sunday morning session, pushing the fans further away from the action. Also newspapers complained, as they couldn’t print the grid in Sunday’s tabloids losing even more exposure in the media. The teams also companied and when it got to the fans… well, we just weren’t listened too. That is, until now.
It seems Bernie Ecclestone has also been watching, and like us, feels the need to make it more understandable. Today, Bernie proposed an idea, possibly a return to 12 lap Qualifying which could see the system changed as early as mid-season. I personally hope it does change as the currently system is a turn-off, confusing, difficult to understand and rather boring. Hopefully this meeting has taken place, and some form of agreement has been made among all the teams. Time will tell…
