All for Nothing?

According to the June edition of the 'F1 Racing' magazine, Toyota could lose the 29 points it scored up to and including the San Marino Grand Prix.

It is reported that the Pansonic Racing team raced without a Superlicence, which is vital if you are going to race in Formula One.

According to the British magazine, the team didn't complete it's paperwork until after the race at Imola.

The FIA has confirmed this matter is under investigation.

"We've had a problem with our national licence," Toyota motorsport president John Howett told F1 Racing.

"This has now been resolved with the German authorities and the revised documents have now been submitted to the FIA. They've now issued us with a new Superlicence.

"But this was a genuine administrative mistake which we sincerely regret."

"The new licences were issued in the week leading up to the Spanish Grand Prix," said FIA director of communications Richard Woods.

"But the FIA is still investigating the issue."

Toyota has competed in it's most successful season since it entered the sport, but will it be 'all for nothing?'
