Finally, times up!

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but you had to be a mathematician or a member of the FIA to understand the 2005 qualifying system. If not, you simple found qualifying a turn off. But, the Monaco Grand Prix could see the last run of the aggregate qualifying system.

Reports from many websites up and down the Internet have expressed joy and happiness as the FIA are set to confirm the change to a more simpler and friendly qualifying session from the European Grand Prix onwards.

The current aggregate system is boring, time consuming and to be frank, difficult to understand. So, after millions of viewers found Saturday's session a T.V turn off, and many companies refusing to show the all-important Sunday session in the mornings, the teams have agreed for a change. The plan is to have a single, one lap qualifying session on Saturday afternoons like the current system, but without the Sunday session the following day. This mean's newspapers can print the grid for Sunday's papers, and hopefully this means more of us will be turning into Saturday's qualifying session.
