Britain: Security tightened for this weekends GP

Security for this weekends British Grand Prix has been tightened after the attacks on London this morning. Once Silverstone was informed of the blasts, a crisis meeting took place to discuss measures to be put in place this weekend.

A statement is due out later this evening for the 100,000 fans who should expect tightened security on the entrance to this years British Grand Prix. The blasts this morning in London comes 24 hours after the city was confirmed the winners for the 2012 Olympics, and on the same day as the G8 summits.

"Of course we are warned and will do everything that is possible for safety. However, there is no reason to panic," Silverstone spokesman John Hurton said.
