Tuirkey: Saturday's Practices

Juan Pablo Montoya took the fastest position in first practice on saturday, followed by England's Jenson Button who looks to be on good form this weekend.

Takuma Sato seems tobe taking notice of how uncertain a B.A.R seat looks for 2006 and stepped up his pace taking 5th.

Toyota's Ralf Schumacher went 11th fastest between Sauber's Felipe Massa and Red Bull Racing's Christian Klien. Following Klien was Italian Jarno Trulli. The Toyota ace set the 13th fastest lap of the morning.

The final practice session of the weekend saw Jenson Button lose out to first place by almost half a second to Finn Kimi Raikkonen. Fernando Alonso came third, losing out to Button by 0.028s.

 

Ralf Schumacher set a good time to take 8th in the session, however his time was over a second slower than that of McLaren's pace setter.

 

Trulli was 4-tenths off his German team-mate, managing 12th. The Italian spun on the dusty track and wasmanage to continue out of the ultra-wide run-off areas. (Which I happened to be slagging off on the Message Board the other day!)

 

Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello only managed 14th and 16th ahead of Toyota powered Tiago Monteiro. The Portuguese was impressive - ahead of his team-mate and the Minardi Double-Dutch team.
