Brazil: Expecting Rain

In breaking news today, we hear that Ralf Schumacher has left the Toyota F1 team to take up a new role as a weather forcaster in Brazil. Ralf arrived in Brazil's Sao Paulo on Monday.

"Yes, the weather has been pretty inconsistent," the 30-year-old German told his website. "I think we could see a similar situation to Spa two weeks ago."

We're sure Ralf could secretly be looking forward to some glum weather as we head into Round 17 of 19 in this 2005 calendar. Ralf Schumacher was running in second behind McLaren's Juan Pablo Montoya and looked on good form to overtake his ex-team mate. Ralf was constantly putting in better lap times behind the Columbian before pitting and making a brave gamble to change to dry tyres.

Gambling is not known for paying off all the time, and Schumacher lost his grip and threw his Toyota off the track.

"I definitely hope the weather is not as chaotic as the last one!" Ralf added. Who knows, in the wet, with a better strategy, maybe a win is on the cards in Interlagos?
