Gascoyne's departure is good news for Ralf

German newspaper 'Bild' has never been short of a few words when one of their sportsmen is involved in a major shake-up, and the recent departure of Mike Gascoyne is no different. The newspaper is pleased to see the back of him, and state that Ralf's road to victory has now begun!

It's been said in the paddock that a number of key members knew that Mike Gascoyne's departure would be soon, one of those members rumoured to be Ralf Schumacher. Although its never been highlighted, German newspaper 'Bild' feels that now Mike's gone, Ralf is now clear to race.

The newspaper quoted “The road has now been cleared for Ralf's first Toyota win”, the newspaper also said that Mike's departure was long overdue.

Well, it doesn't look as though Mike's new job will be a weekly column in 'Bilds' newspaper.
