Ian Hutchinson breaks the Ulster GP lap record

Ian Hutchinson broke the lap record for the Ulster Grand Prix, held at the Dundrod Circuit in Northern Ireland, bringing the lap times down at a speed of 130.828mph.

This still obviously retains the Ulster Grand Prix circuit as the fastest road race in the world. And Ian also went on to break the 600cc record with a lap of 125.433mph.

Ian is now the fastest in in the world as far as road race circuits go and, after John McGuinness broke the 130mph barrier earlier this year at the TT, it was Guy Martin who went on to take the title of ‘Fastest Man in the World’, with Ian taking over during the last Superbike race.
