Victoria Pub hosts Maria Costello fundraiser event

Maria Costello, fastest woman in the UK, will be attending a fundraising evening at the biker-friendly Victoria Pub, Coalville, Leicestershire, on the 11th August.

The event is being held to raise financial support for Maria as she heads off to the Manx Grand Prix at the end of the month, where she will be looking to improve on her Guinness World Record lap of 114.73mph. Maria and her race bike will be at the fundraising evening at the Victoria Pub to raise funds to support her efforts at the MGP.

The fundraising evening will start at about 8:00pm, and will include a raffle and auction including Jester TT Superbike PlayStation games, goodies from Rock Oil, Bering motorcycle clothing, Duke DVDs (an assortment of road racing greats), and a free years subscription to Motorcycle Racer magazine. Autographed Maria Costello merchandise, signed prints, and photographs of Maria will also be up for grabs.

Maria will be interviewed on stage, and everyone will have the chance to ask her those burning questions. She will also be available for autographs and photographs with her Bering Honda race bike. Kiddimoto will be exhibiting their range of children’s toy bikes, including some made in Maria Costello Motorsport team colours.

Maria, the fastest woman to lap the TT course, is racing at the Isle of Man at the end of August in the Island’s other spectacular road race - the Manx Grand Prix. Maria will be competing on a Padgett’s Supersport 600 Honda CBR600RR, and the RLR Motorsports Honda RVF400 she brought home in seventh place at the North West 200 earlier this year. Her Bering Honda CBR600RR will also be going as back up.

Anyone wishing to meet the fastest woman motorcycle racer in the UK should come along and join the fun at the Victoria Pub, Coalville, Leicestershire, on Thursday 11 August 2005, from 8:00pm.
