Sheridan is back: Today we decided, much against our will, that Dennis Hobbs will not be fit for Oulton Park. The cut on his side, although making great progress, we don’t think is up to the job when mauling a Superbike around this demanding track.

Dennis, as always, wants to give his best for the team and sponsors. He wanted to go and try things out and give it his best shot, but if anything got disturbed inside we would not know, which is too dangerous, so now he must wait until the next round.

I called Sheridan Morais this afternoon to ask what he was up to this weekend. His plan was to chill out doing some motocross. I asked if there were any planes out of there to Manchester, cos if there were he could ride. 20 minutes later he called back to say he was on the 8:15pm out of Johannesburg, to be at Manchester tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 8:30am. Ann Huxley gets the job of meeting him at the airport, and taking him to the track to start his learning curve. He knows what to expect this time, so let’s see what he can do!
