During Wednesday night’s practice session aboard the HM Plant Honda, John McGuinness lapped the famous Isle of Man road course at a speed of 127.81mph, the fastest lap ever recorded for the 37.73 mile course for a Superbike. Guy Martin was in second place with a lap speed of 126.41mph.
John is looking to go even faster as practice continues and, who knows, yet again we may see a lap record time fall during race week.
Of note, young up and coming rider William Dunlop, son of Robert Dunlop, bettered his previous time during the Supersport class, getting to 114.26mph. William is progressing nicely as he gets to grips with bigger machinery, and is certainly a young man who will go far.
