Ode To Clive Part 2

The second offering from the State of Play's resident poem Exile. Entitled Ode to Clive part 2, for details read on.
Now bold Sir Clive, the Lord of Bald,
he thought,"how can this be?"
"How is it that the Moari won,
it can't be down to me?"
"I know" he thought "what I must do,
my old guard I must call,
they're sure to beat the All Blacks,
and this route forestall"
And so the time it came at last
when finally face to face,
the All Black s and the Lions met,
and Clivey played his ace.
His lieutenants Jones and Wilkinson
together in the fight,
while all the world thought this insane
Sir clive thought it was right.
But little mattered clivey's bluff,
for early in the day,
the All Blacks took O'Driscoll out,
in a foul and dirty way.
The lions now, their captain gone
yeilded to the foe,
his old guard weren't the force they were
a year or two ago.
And once again the All Black land
rejoiced at our defeat,
they're are now odds on to win the war,
when next the two sides meet.
