Leigh RMI vs. Altrincham preview

Hilton Park witnesses it's first pre-season game of the summer tomorrow evening when Conference National side Altrincham are the visitors.

After a draw at Clitheroe and last Tuesday's 1-0 victory at St. Helens Town, RMI play their first home game of the pre-season campaign on Monday evening when Altrincham visit Hilton Park with a 7:30pm kick off.

The visitors are set to field ex-RMI players Stuart Coburn and Warren Peyton, although it's fair to say that Coburn will receive by far the better reception, thanks in part to his magnificent performances when with RMI, not to mention the fact that Peyton had a few choice words to say about his former club in a local newspaper during the course of last season.

Visiting fans may well be keen to see centre half Mark Maddox turning out for the home side after he gave stirling service to the Cheshire side during his time at Alty, and he already looks the part at RMI after an impressive debut at St. Helens alongside George Melling, a former Altrincham team mate of Maddox's.

Admission costs £8 for adults, £4 for concessions while Junior supporters club members and Junior RMI players can get in for £1 upon production of their membership card.
