Leigh RMI vs. Farsley Celtic preview

RMI's first home game of the season sees the resumption of the War of the Roses when Farsley Celtic are the visitors to Hilton Park on Tuesday evening.

After winning promotion from the Unibond League last season, Farsley had a tough welcoming to the league with a 3-0 home defeat to Droylsden on their Conference North debut last Saturday. However, the Yorkshire outfit are sure to be buoyed by RMI's similarly poor start to the season that saw the Leythers fall to a disappointing 2-1 opening day defeat at Vauxhall Motors, despite taking an early lead through a Chris Simm goal.

In much the same vein, RMI will see Farsley's result on Saturday as a reason for optimism, with hopes that Leigh can get their first points on the board on Tuesday evening, with county pride on the line from 7:45pm
