Leigh RMI vs. Kettering Town preview

Fifth-placed Conference North glamour side Kettering Town are the visitors to Hilton Park this weekend, with the game kicking off at 3pm.

RMI go in to the game boosted with the news that Paul Howarth, who impressed in last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Blyth, has now signed for the club on a permanent basis, while Hugh McAuley is set to make his debut against his former club after joining the club following an impressive trial period.

Both players go straight in to the squad to face a Kettering side that are starting to click in to gear, having won seven points from a possible nine in their past three games, while RMI will be looking to bounce back from last week's defeat that saw them concede a goal for the first time in nearly seven hours and four unbeaten games of football.

Last season's encounters between the sides hold happy memories for Kettering, who took advantage of Neil Smith's sending off to win 2-0 at Hilton Park in February, while they also ran out 4-0 victors at Rockingham Road in October, with RMI down in the dumps after being knocked out of the FA Cup at Gainsborough on the previous Tuesday.

With their new signings raring to go, RMI will certainly be looking to set the record straight against the Poppies as RMI boss Stuart Humphreys looks to continue his superb start to life in his new job.
