Furlong set to leave?

With Leigh striker Carl Furlong set to follow in the footsteps of ex-RMI midfielder Scott Willis in joining Unibond League leaders AFC Telford, boss Stuart Humphreys has moved quickly to find a replacement.

After holding discussions with the Shropshire side over the weekend, Furlong is set to end his short, goal-less, stay at Hilton Park and join Telford at some point this week.

With Furlong's seemingly imminent departure, the club have moved quickly to find a replacement with the signing of highly-rated former Preston North End striker Mark Jackson from Conference National side Southport.
