Leigh RMI vs. Workington preview

After the postponement of Saturday's game at Lancaster, RMI have had an unexpected week's rest as their not-so-hectic festive period ends with Workington's visit to Hilton Park tomorrow evening.

With torrential rain putting paid to Saturday's scheduled encounter at the Giant Axe, the often-criticised festive fixture pile-up hasn't really developed for Stuart Humphreys' side who haven't played since the victory at Workington on Boxing Day.

The Reds meanwhile, stuttering slightly after previously leading the division, are still in the hunt for the play-offs although they will undoubtedly be disappointed with their haul of just one point from a possible six points over the festive period, with the Cumbrian side expecting a much better return from home games against RMI followed by the visit of strugglers Barrow.

Although Workington travel south in the hope of revenge for RMI's 1-0 victory last week, thanks to an early Steve Porter goal, they face an RMI side in top form, with their seven game unbeaten rain stretching back to the middle of November.

Kick off is at 7:45pm at Hilton Park on Tuesday (January 2nd)
