Former Macclesfield Town man David Eaton has left Leigh RMI to join promotion-chasing Unibond Premier League outfit Marine, only a matter of months after arriving at Hilton Park.

Eaton arrived at Hilton Park earlier this season after a previously successful spell with Burscough, and although billed as a striker, spent much of his period at RMI on the left hand side of midfield.

Marine boss Alvin McDonald is said to have been chasing Eaton for some time and is delighted to have finally clinched his signature as his side look to grab a play-off place, and potentially gain promotion to the Conference North for next season.

RMI boss Stuart Humphreys has however managed to boost his squad with the signing of nineteen year old left footer Owen Roberts, who has joined the club from Unibond League side Clitheroe, with the former Port Vale youngster making his debut in the 1-0 defeat at Alfreton on Saturday.
