Lancaster match postponed

This evening's Conference North game at Lancaster has been postponed because of a frozen pitch at the Dolly Blues' Giant Axe home.
Although temperatures had plummeted since late in the afternoon, the match referee left it until just ten minutes before the scheduled kick off before he decided that the pitch was unplayable, much to the frustration of supporters, many of whom had already paid admission in to the ground, though these people have been refunded. A date for the re-arranged game has yet to be confirmed, and hopefully it will go ahead at the third time lucky.
As you may be able to tell from the image below, the was particularly frosty and had frozen over to an unplayable state in quite a short space of time.
