Leigh RMI manager Stuart Humphreys has boosted his striking options with the signing of ex-Chester City striker Kevin Rapley (pictured).
Rapley joins the club from Conference North leaders Droylsden, having previously spent time in the Conference National with Forest Green Rovers, with the striker replacing Kingsley Jones in the squad, who has been released after he failed to make an impression during his spell at Hilton Park.
Rapley started his career as a trainee with Brentford, but his most successful spell in the Football League came with Colchester United, where he scored eleven goals in forty league starts between 2001 and 2003, while he has also spent time at Southend United, Scunthorpe United and Exeter City, and he goes straight in to the squad for tonight's visit to Hyde United in the Conference North.
