Former RMI players on the move

Although Leigh RMI's transfer activity has been particularly disappointing in the public domain so far this summer, bordering on the non-existent, numerous players have been on the move throughout the non-league scene recently having previously been at Hilton Park.

Ex-Scarborough striker Steve Brodie (pictured), who came up against RMI last season when playing for Blue Square North rivals Stalybridge Celtic, has dropped a division to join UniBond League side Witton Albion.

He will be joined in the UniBond by striker Alex Hay, who has returned from a spell from playing in the Welsh Premier with Rhyl to join Cammell Laird, a side defeated by Leigh in last season’s FA Trophy competition.

Goalkeeper Paul Crichton, who spent a short period at Hilton Park in the club’s Conference National days before joining Accrington Stanley, has left Cambridge United to join ambitious King’s Lynn.

Meanwhile, midfielder Scott Willis, an impressive performer in RMI’s engine room throughout the past couple of seasons before joining AFC Telford United’s ultimately successful promotion challenge, has left Bucks’ Head to remain in the UniBond League with Hednesford Town.
