Leigh RMI vs. Kettering Town preview

With up to six first team players still on the sidelines, Leigh boss Stuart Humphreys faces a daunting task to bounce back from the Bank Holiday weekend's double defeat when Blue Square North table-toppers Kettering Town visit Hilton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Although centre half Mark Maddox was fit enough to make his first appearance in the RMI squad on Bank Holiday Monday, he was an unused substitute for the cruel 3-1 defeat at Stalybridge Celtic that followed quickly on the heels of Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Harrogate Town.

Striker Dan Owen is likely to be missing from the side for several weeks with a cheekbone that is fractured in three separate places, while defenders Owen Roberts and Stephen Hill are joining wingers Steve Settle and Stuart Whittaker on the road to recovery.

Big-spending Kettering arrive at Hilton Park with a daunting 100% record to their name, including a 6-0 victory over Vauxhall Motors earlier this month, although they needed a late goal in last season's visit to Leigh to scrape a 2-1 victory.

Kick off at Hilton Park is 3pm on Saturday.
