24 year old striker Chris Amadi joined Leigh Genesis in mid-October 2008 from Blue Square North side Burscough as a direct replacement for released striker Darren Mansaram.

Amadi made his Leigh debut in the 1-0 win over Harrogate Railway Athletic in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round on 18th October 2008.
