Hard working and pacy full back who made an impressive Leigh Genesis debut in the 2-2 draw away to Whitby Town on Saturday 15th November 2008.

Although primarily a right-footed player, Botchey has found himself utilised, not only as a right back, but also as a left back, most notably in Leigh's 4-2 win at FC United of Manchester on Saturday 14th February 2009.

Botchey earned his first man of the match award with a sterling performance at right back in a 4-2 defeat to Guiseley at Stainton Park on 21st March 2009.
