Atherton Collieries game postponed - AGAIN!

Despite hosting an Atherton Collieries reserve fixture on Saturday afternoon, this evening’s Lancashire FA Trophy First Round clash between Leigh Genesis and Atherton Collieries has been postponed after the Alder House pitch failed an inspection late this afternoon following a weekend of heavy rain.
Although today has seen relatively dry weather, the weekend's deluge meant that, despite an offer from Leigh Genesis to assist in the preparation of the pitch, it has had to be postponed for a third time.
Should the weather remain dry and the pitch recover from the weekend's exertions, the fixture will instead taking place this coming Wednesday (26th November) at Alder House with a 7:45pm kick off.

Gutted. Looks like Colls are making an attempt to get the game switched to our non-existent home ground and therefore a bye in to the next round!

Can appreciate it where you're coming from but it's getting a bit daft now - the weather has been fine today and not even Daisy Hill have had their game called off (yet).

Aye, that's true, though I'm sure it disrupts the training schedule when he's having to prepare continually for a game that just won't arrive!

can i just say that. . .my point wasnt specificaly aimed at colls there and lyk evryone else has said we are just itching to see a game =)

Not sure whether or not I'll be able to make the game on Wednesday/Thursday - these postponements wreak havoc with babysitters!
That said, I'm sure Colls will have wanted it played right time around and attracted as big a crowd as possible.

sam u will knw what i mean by keeping to speed limit when u start to drive. Not worth the hassle bein caught just for sake of gettin some where 10 mins quicker.

Heyyy I know there are reasons for you to think Im going to be a bad driver for example the fact im a little slow and can admittedly be a tad blonde sometimes but I reallt do think I will be quite good at driving
