Duo move on
Jonathan Goulding

Leigh Genesis duo Jordan Stepien and Jonathan Goulding have moved on to pastures new, with Blue Square North side Burscough taking advantage of Leigh's financial position to snap up the young pair and offer the sort of wages that Genesis are unable to offer.
Both players are two of the last of Leigh's previous squad to leave the club after each of them appeared free of charge in recent games.
Popular midfielder or defender Jonathan Goulding, who collected a raft of awards at last year's end-of-season presentation, leaves the club after playing in forty five games, including eight substitute appearances, since joining Leigh in October 2007.
Striker Jordan Stepien (pictured below), meanwhile, was rumoured to be heading for Blue Square Premier side Barrow but instead heads to Burscough after scoring five goals in fourteen appearances for Leigh since joining the club from Bury in June 2008.

On behalf of Leigh's supporters, I'd like to wish both players the very best of luck with their new club and thank them for their efforts whilst with Leigh.
Looks like Burscough are trying the best to re-build the genesis team, there must be 4 or 5 of the old genesis first team there now

I'd be interested to find out where Burscough have got their money from after the problems they had in the summer.
Did find it strange that they have been overly active with our lads.
Then again, they wouldnt have to offer the world to prise them away, especially if there is little interest elsewhere
