Potential new investors

Leigh Genesis FC have this evening responded to rumours of potential new investors taking control of the club by issuing a statement via their official website.
The statement on leighgenesis.com reads as follows;
When Chairman Dominic Speakman came on board in January 2008, an agreement to license, was granted with the Sports Village Company for the new ground to become the home of Leigh Genesis from the beginning of the 2008/09 season.
Further to the stepping-down of Dominic as chairman and sole backer there have been ongoing talks with a new potential investors wishing to take up the reins and move the club forward in much the same way as had been intended. These investors have the financial backing to not only fulfil but enhance the original business plan.
All involved parties are continuing talks in the hope that an agreement may be reached to see the club playing matches there as soon as possible and fulfilling the potential it is capable of in the years ahead. LSV as the club’s home is integral to securing this new investment and the club can see no reason why it should not be resident as a partner in Leigh Sports Village Stadium and playing all home matches there in the near future.
Your patience and positivity through this very testing time has been amazing. We thank you for sticking this out with us and we are convinced you will be rewarded with your new home very soon.
We will keep fans updated as the situation progresses
