Midfielder Karl Brown joined Leigh Genesis in late January 2009 from UniBond League Division One North side Warrington Town, having previously played for Ashton United and AFC Telford United.

Brown made his full Leigh debut in the 2-0 defeat to FC United of Manchester on Tuesday 27th January, the first game to take place at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium.

Brown's first goal for the club came on his twentieth appearance when he scored the first goal in a 2-1 win over Bradford Park Avenue at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on 21st April 2009.

Karl Brown left Leigh Genesis in June 2009 to link up with former Genesis manager Lee Merricks and UniBond League Division One North rivals Chorley.
